Founded by survivors, for survivors.
Our Vision
We take survivor stories seriously.
We envision a world where victims and survivors are embraced with compassion. As an organization built by survivors, we understand what it’s like to feel misunderstood in your story. We know what it’s like to read and hear survivor-blaming statements that are still so pervasive, even among helping professionals. We know how much hard work it takes to “heal,” and how so many of us feel alone in this journey.
We hope we can help you.
Our Mission
Through our outreach and advocacy efforts, we connect survivors to healing practitioners, provide consultations for families of survivors, and educate helping professionals. Our founders are committed to educating friends, families, colleagues, and communities about intimate partner violence beyond the myths and statistics. We believe in the small but powerful ways in which allies can stand in solidarity with those who are experiencing, or have experienced, abuse.
Grassroots
We are currently an entirely volunteer-run grassroots organization and we do not currently accept donations. Here are our future goals:
Build our directory of available IPV-informed healing practitioners;
Develop a scholarship for survivors so that we can fund trauma therapy services;
Continue to research and teach an intensive (condensed) trauma therapy model for IPV survivors.
